Personal Injury Compensation Protection

If you are on benefits or are receiving Local Authority help with care all of your money savings or other assets will affect how much benefit or care allowance you will get.

If your savings etc go over certain limits you will lose the right to receive the benefits (this is known as means testing).

If you receive compensation for an injury but are also on means tested benefits you might lose the benefits if your compensation exceeds the amount you can have in savings.

We can prevent this from happening with a Personal Injury Compensation Trust. This can make your compensation worth a lot more to you and to those you care about and can mean that you can protect the money you have been awarded and the rights to benefits or support that you are entitled to.

It doesn’t matter how your personal injury claim arose (e.g. an accident criminal injuries, clinical/medical negligence injuries or industrial disease) nor does it matter what type of injury you have suffered, be it mental or physical.

The “Personal Injury Compensation Trust” can help you keep present and future entitlement to means tested benefits including local authority help. So, even if you are not on means tested benefits now, but might be in the future, we can help.

A Personal Injury Compensation Trust can also add to your ‘peace of mind’ but it should be put in place as soon as possible after compensation is received.
